Status

An Ahmedabad-DSIR MRTS (Metro Rail Transit System) was reported approved around January 2021, but its current status is unclear and it likely overlaps with, or has been superseded by, the semi high-speed rail project approved in 2026. There is no confirmed construction of a Dholera metro on the ground, and no operational service, so any claim of a running or under-construction metro should be treated as unverified.
